All 6 mutation types explained — what they do, how to get them, and the critical merge compatibility rule every player must know.

Critical Merge Rule: Units with DIFFERENT mutations cannot be merged. A Gold mutation Goku and a standard Goku cannot be merged. Always match mutation type AND unit name before planning any duplicate strategy.

GoldNaturalTier A
How to get: Random chance when rolling or rerolling at the Roll Machine
Merge with: Only with other Gold units of the same name
Effect: Boosts the unit's DPS output. Also increases the unit's Cash purchase cost at the Roll Machine.
Strategy: Gold mutations are obtainable through normal play. When you roll a Gold mutation unit, hold onto it — it is valuable both as a unit and as merge fodder for building a max-level Gold variant.
DiamondNaturalTier S
How to get: Random chance when rolling or rerolling — rarer than Gold
Merge with: Only with other Diamond units of the same name
Effect: Stronger DPS boost than Gold. Significantly increases Cash cost.
Strategy: Diamond mutations are the best naturally-obtainable mutation. A Diamond Secret unit is among the strongest combinations in the game from standard play.
DragonbornEventTier S+
How to get: Server event only — use 10x Luck rerolls during active Dragonborn event
Merge with: Only with other Dragonborn units of the same name
Effect: Highest DPS multiplier in the game. Makes even mid-rarity units competitive.
Strategy: The most powerful mutation. Monitor the official Discord for Dragonborn event announcements. Activate 10x Luck rerolls the moment a Dragonborn event starts — the window is limited.
BeastEventTier S
How to get: Server event only — announced on official Discord
Merge with: Only with other Beast units of the same name
Effect: High DPS multiplier, event-exclusive. Slightly below Dragonborn.
Strategy: Same approach as Dragonborn — watch Discord for event windows and use Luck rerolls during the event.
ArrancarEventTier A
How to get: Bleach-themed server event
Merge with: Only with other Arrancar units of the same name
Effect: Bleach Part 2 update event mutation. Strong DPS boost.
Strategy: Currently available during the Bleach Part 2 event. Check the game description page for active event windows.
AdminAdmin Abuse EventTier Limited
How to get: Distributed exclusively by game administrators during Admin Abuse events
Merge with: Only with other Admin units of the same name
Effect: Rare administrator-distributed mutation with unique visual flair.
Strategy: This mutation cannot be obtained through regular gameplay. Participation in Admin Abuse events is the only path — these are infrequent and unpredictable.

How to Maximize Event Mutations

Dragonborn and Beast mutations are available only during limited server events. When an event is active, the Roll Machine has a chance to produce units with those mutations. The key is to use 10x Luck rerolls during the event window — they increase your mutation hit rate significantly.

Event windows are short and announced with minimal notice on the official Discord server. Set up Discord notifications for the #announcements channel at discord.com/invite/ZPkZqkJk3w so you never miss an event start.

Do not waste Luck rerolls outside of an active event — there is zero chance of receiving event mutations during normal play. Save your resources until the event is confirmed live in the Discord.
